Feng Shui Practice

This article which you are about to read has been written because of a growing interest in this subject all around the world, and I hope that by reading this you will have a few of your questions answered.

A belief, a system or a dogma that has existed, survived and is still in popular use today is worth taking a second look at. To dismiss them would simply be idiotic as many already have, and have proven nothing aside from making it known that they do not cotton onto the obvious.

There will always be the skeptics and believe me, they have had their share of helping issues to be advertised freely and more forcefully since once they have committed their emotions into fighting against something it happens that they become even more vocal than the adherents. It is true with religions, ideologies, new inventions and discoveries and yes, even Feng shui.

And so again, what is Feng shui and for centuries now, why has it survived?

In a nutshell, it is the result of the persistence of man in trying to live with his environment through harmonizing with it so that he gathers the positive forces and influences of nature to improve his wellness. Not a bad idea at all. In fact it almost sounds like most of the precepts in all the major religions except that it is not a religion. It is a practice. A belief system developed since the ancient times in China. Feng shui has persisted and spread, to almost all the known parts of the world. Unbeknown to many cultures, many Feng shui principles are already being practiced by them although with different connotations and justifications.

The practice of Feng shui has taken a prominent consideration in building designs, selecting sites, locations, decorations, business, personal practices, interrelationships, houses, rooms, pathways, medicine, you name it. It could be applied to almost everything and yes even the contour of a face and the force of character and vision in a person is said to be contributors to gaining good qi (pronounced as chi, a kind of energy from which life emanates) or not. Almost everything could be drawn to gain good Feng shui or bad Feng shui. It could have thousands of applications, from womb to tomb.

It is not exactly known when and where Feng shui started. There are very few written accounts of Feng shui prior to the last century. The practice then was to hand over the knowledge by word of mouth, from master to the student.

Even with that, the practice continued and improved. One thing that it owes to is that Feng shui is intuitive in nature and is practical. While it has often been dismissed as superstition, a bull and a crap, by those who are against it, its longevity could be traced to the benefits of all those who applied its principles. This proves as always, that the best argument is never good enough when it is aimed against success.

Feng shui holds so much validity for the Orientals that there were Chinese emperors who had their experts executed for fear that the knowledge could be used against them. In the 19th century, the Chinese government had control over the distribution of charts, numerical data and diagrams that were included in the almanacs that it released to the public.

Feng shui is an old practice that has developed through the centuries. In fact it is a part of the Chinese philosophy. The earliest formal account though is through the writings of Chu Hsi who lived during the Song Dynasty around 1126 to 1278. His writings then became the foundation of the practice of Feng shui. But as already mentioned, it goes a long way back.

But, you may be asking, is it of any use to me today? Well the answer is yes, it is, but you will only discover its secrets by conducting some methodical research yourself.

Where can you turn to for help in your research? For a start, visit your local bookstore, and you will be amazed at how much information they have on Feng Shui. Then you could try your local library. Also, look out for some helpful Blogs on this subject, and finally, the internet will provide you with a wealth of information.

Bedroom Feng Shui -- Finding TRUE Love with Feng Shui

Spending yet another holiday alone? It can start getting pretty bleak looking and for some reason, New Years Eve can be a killer. I wonder how many of you have taken any Feng Shui steps to attract not only a person into your life, but finding the RIGHT person. Don?t give up, they may be just around the corner. And I have many clients who can attest to the powers of Feng Shui to find that special someone.

I think of Nancy, a recent client who called me to her home. Nancy wasn?t looking for just anyone who came along that was breathing, she wanted someone on the same wavelength who was going to enhance her life, not add on to the stress we all have.

Nancy is a particularly mindful person. She is very much in tune with Intention, The Laws of Attraction, and things that can?t be seen or heard, namely Energy Work. She was (despite all odds and going against the criticism and negativity she was encountering) looking to change careers as well; at the age of 42 she wanted to become an actress.

Among the many other things we discussed during the consultation, these were the things I focused on with her. I showed her career section which was her main entrance and explained that it was almost completely blocked by hedges that had gotten out of control. Since it is her main entrance to her home, it is also the Mouth of Chi and explained why we needed to address that. And I was able to give her some simple and easy methods to get her career moving inside her home as well.

She is my idea of a ?perfect? client. She listens, she understands the reasons and carries out the changes with the best of Intentions which is the main component of Feng Shui. And changes will happen of which she is not doubtful.

We also looked at many areas of her home including her ?romance? areas from an outdoor perspective and special emphasis on her bedroom. It seems that her outside Romance area was the corner of the house thought of as ?The dumping ground.? Meaning where old firewood was stored and things that weren?t used were put there ?temporarily? until she could find a way to get rid of them. In this case, temporarily had become two years.

When I explained this was her romance area and it needed to be cleaned and activated, a light when off in her head. It was no wonder she hadn?t attracted anyone. She took immediate steps to get rid of all the junk that had accumulated and address the area for romance. Both outdoors and indoors we have special options we can use but major principles we always use are the color pink and to ?think in twos.? Outdoors this can be a statue of any two like objects enhanced or containing the color pink. Since the area was stagnant, we could also use a moving object there, our Intention being to move someone special right into our lives.

Remember when using anything moving, once we?ve gotten things moving in the area we have chosen, we want to move the moving object as we now want to stabilize the area and intentionally weigh it down. We don?t want this new, wonderful person moving right back out! Weighing it down can simply include a rock or paperweight with the Intention we now want to keep this area just as it is.

We also looked closely at her bedroom. It was unbalanced, contained pictures of others or herself, alone (a Feng Shui no-no) and I advised her how to balance the room simply and inexpensively (many clients are on a strict budget) and suggested one of my favorite things to attract the Right person. I suggest they use a heart shaped (pink if possible) picture frame with her on one side and a silhouette on the other. On the back of the silhouette I asked her to write down qualities she absolutely had to have in a partner. She understood the very act of taking the time to infuse this area with her Intentions would not just draw anyone into her life, but someone special.

Our consultation was during the summer, but she and I keep up; relationships I make with what were once clients become so much more, they oftentimes become true friends in every sense of the word. Her last email to me was SO positive. She had just gotten an acting job at a nearby playhouse and as I was reading, I was hoping someone had come to see the play and she?d end up on Broadway?. Not yet, but she did say the last day of the play a very nice single man that she had worked with came over to her with a Rose and invited her to dinner.

These are the kind of wonderful emails or calls I am fortunate enough to get more often then not! And that is the love of this work. For you singles out there who want a special person, not just a breathing one, follow the advice and simple steps and then step back while keeping a positive attitude. Feng Shui To Greater Luck In This New Year

There are at least six ways to learn Feng Shui Luck. First you must learn and understand the very basics and essentials of Feng Shui. This can help you to apply the remedies and enhancements that will help you to enhance your good fortune and eliminate or at least restrain bad luck.

Secondly you should essentially prepare for the coming New Year. Every new year every person on earth has two opportunities to start anew- the Western New Year of January 1st and on the Chinese New Year upon when on the first New Moon of the arrives. This will give all of us a chance to clean up and clear out our houses, get our goals and priorities in order, and make the most of our homes, summer cottages and offices.

Next consider the ?blessing tree?. Tibetans often make prayer flags that hang in the wind or windows to release their prayers to the heavens. You can do this with a tree in your yard or a plant in your window. Purchase a good amount of gold or red ribbons. Then write your wishes for the coming New Year on the ribbons and then tie them to the branches of your ?blessing tree?.

It should be understood that by writing down your goals and wishes that the greatest chance will occur that your wishes and dreams will come to fruition. Let the winds and eddies of currents of the wind carry your wishes to the rivers, lakes and oceans and thus ultimately to the heavens. Do this the night or the day before the lunar New Year if at all possible.

It is forever a good idea to rearrange your furniture especially the largest heaviest pieces such as sofas. A change of the real estate so to speak always enhances the Karma. This will ensure that the vibrant energy of life will remain fresh and new in your home and surroundings. If this is not possible clean and move other pieces of your real estate in your home, apartment, cottage or workplace. Clean under the furniture. Don?t forget to vacuum under the cushions and pillows as well as behind.

It is always best to enhance your Northwest Chien corner for assistance luck. Having a powerful or influential person in your life is a blessing. Start thinking how you can cultivate these types of people in your life. Even one candidate can make a major and substantial difference. Next activate the northeast corner of your home, cottage or office. Place a wind chime in this vital corner and if possible keep a fan trained on it to keep it tinkling beautifully all day.

Lastly gain that recognition luck. Tap the luck of the Phoenix for added recognition. The Phoenix is found in the south or out the front door of your home. To activate the Phoenix place a boulder out that front door of your home. The symbol of the Phoenix represents efforts to rise again from the ashes over and over again and again. The Phoenix is a symbol of success that can bring a boost in recognition and even personal fame. Create your personal Phoenix by placing a mounded rock or a mound of earth in front of your house, office or cottage. Alternatively you can place peacock feathers in the South sectors of the house or living room.
